stuff: most of the staff is friendly, but I must say that a man in the reception is so mean! when I checked in, I found that my room was not so good, because the curtain is not large enough to cut off the curtain. and my single room is in the male floor... so i could not sleep in the night. then I requested to change a room or a bed for me. but he refused and said that i should leave here and pay 80 pounds for a comfort hotel!!!!! and asked me to wait a manager till the next morning! this experience make me feel so bad about this hotel! location: near the train station and tram room: the dormitory is good, but the single room in the third floor is terrible. because the curtain is can not stop the light, and there is two room this side would turn off the light, so it looks like in the daytime in the room.

The staff were incredibly friendly at all hours, reception was never unmanned, the kitchen and common areas are spotlessly clean. The hotel was 15 minutes from everything which some days was brilliant and some was awful dependent on the weather.

The room was far too hot all the time, if you are not comfortable sleeping in underwear in rooms with strangers I wouldn't recommend this or any other hostel to you. Had all the flaws every hostel has, small rooms etc. but if you're going to moan about that then pay the extra for a private hotel room is my advice,

I really liked their attitude to age. It literally caters for every age without a feeling of prejudice. I met an elderly lady on the stairs who must have been in her 70'S. No worries at all!

Usual stuff sharing a dorm. Sweaty feet and snoring!

Location is in between of Picadilly station and Victoria station. Quite convenient but I was robbed nearby. Take second thought if you concern safety issue. One female staff was friendly but not seated at the reception when I wanted to check out. Another male staff was unfriendly .

Comfy mattress, great location, very cheap, reasonably clean,

Lack of attention for running out of essentials like toilet paper and sugar or clean enough toilet.

If You are young and don't plan to sleep all night, this place can be good to save money and to meet people like You. Also there's a place to keep Your laguage safe - just give it to receiptionist and take a number to have it back later. And it's free. As well as iPhone charging

Hostel as noise and alive all night as Manchester city :) Good and bad. Unfortunately some spanish guys returned at the middle of night and started to speak not to silent.

It had everything I needed to rest before taking my flight back, wifi, cozy atmosphere, a wonderful dining room. The bedroom was silent and restful.

It's not that I didn't like it but if would be probably better if each bed had a little "reading light" so not to bother all the other guests, or if the major lights where a little more dim.

the possibility to meet people there during my stay, and not staying alone in the room !!

It's an old building, so things are little bit hard to maintain good... but it's OK

Great location very very closed to Picadilly Square

Very poor breakfast, which actually was in another building on Sunday... The breakfast was really depressive

I really appreciated the location of the hotel. Even if it's a bit far from the university, it's just next to the shopping streets. I also really liked the kindness of the staff.

Maybe a bit more privacy in the shower room.
